The BYD Sealion 7 electric SUV was recently showcased by BYD at the India Global Expo 2025 and is now set to be launched on February 17. It is set to be launched in two variants,

the first being the Premium (RWD) which is a rear-wheel-drive variant that accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.7 seconds and the second being the Performance (AWD) which comes with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system that accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.5 seconds.

Exterior Design

If we talk about the design of BYD Sealion 7 Electric SUV, then the first thing you will notice about this car is that this car will attract anyone with its futuristic design and bold look. If we talk about its front face, then it has LED headlamps + (DRL) with piano finishing which make it even more beautiful. Along with this, its grill has been given gloss black.

Now if we talk about its side profile, then its wheel arches have been given with black leading, it has 19 or 20 inches alloy wheels, now talking about its door, the company has offered flush door with request sensor in this car, with the help of which you will be able to enter the car, D chrome, lining has been used on its window, due to which Sealion 7 looks more premium. Talking about its rear design, the car is highlighted with a full LED light bar that makes it look high-tech and beautiful. The performance variant’s design includes dual exhaust ports that, despite being non-functional, give a sporty touch to the rear.

Interior Design

Talking about the interior of Sealion 7, comfortable sheets and spacious cabin have been made for the driver and passengers so that people can enjoy their journey without any hassle, this car is a five seater, the seats are decorated with high quality, eco-friendly materials that not only look great but also feel comfortable. The seats are fully adjustable, with memory function for the driver seat, ensuring that everyone can find their perfect seating position. For an added level of comfort, heated and ventilated seats that will provide comfort according to the needs of the passengers.

A 15.6-inch infotainment system can be seen on the dashboard of the BYD Sealion 7, which has a touchscreen, making it easy to access media, navigation and vehicle settings. To give the car a premium feel, its interior is decorated with lights that you can change according to your mood. Also for added convenience, a wireless charging pad has been included so that your devices can be used while traveling. Apart from this, the car supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for additional connectivity, making it easy to link your smartphone to the vehicle for calls and navigation. Both variants get a front trunk of 58 liters and a boot space of 500 liters, which is sufficient for normal use.

If we talk about the specification of BYD Sealion 7 SUV, the performance (AWD) variant has a motor power of 390 kW which provides a maximum power of 523bhp and a maximum torque of 690Nm. If we talk about its range, then it gives a range of 542 km. Whereas, its Premium (RWD) variant has a motor power of 230 kW which has a maximum torque of 380Nm and a maximum power of 308bhp and a range of 567 km. Both these variants come with automatic transmission type.

BYD Sealion 7 battery life and charging time details

BYD Sealion 7 has a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) blade battery cell which is of 82.56 kWh. It is lighter than other batteries and is more durable. If we talk about the life of blade battery then it lasts for more than 1000 charges which can last for almost 8-10 years depending upon the driving habits and usage.

If we talk about its charging details, both its variants have 11 kW AC charging and 150 kW DC fast charging option which charges (10-80%) in just (30-40) minutes.

Talking about the ex-showroom price of BYD Sealion 7 electric SUV, the premium (electric) variant is priced at 45 lakhs while the performance (electric) variant is priced at 49 lakhs. According to official details, the delivery of BYD Sealion 7 can start from 7 March 2025.
